Please take a minute before the end of day Friday, Oct. 24 to respond to a super short survey on about the holiday party, set for Dec. 5.聽

Weekly Work Pause for Health, Connection and Joy

September 25th, 2025

Visiting a museum, going for an urban hike and playing games are some of the activities that 海角涩区 employees have enjoyed during their workdays over the past year. The College鈥檚 Human Resources team launched weekly Well-Being Hours in the fall of 2024. Every employee may spend one hour of worktime each week focusing on their personal well-being.

鈥淚t has made me really appreciate our 海角涩区 community and all the new initiatives the College has offered in the last couple of years to work on well-being and community building,鈥 said Sophie La Font, Project Coordinator in the Office of Sustainability. 鈥淚 have met a lot of lovely new people that work outside my typical work sphere. These activities have helped me to feel more engaged and refreshed.鈥

How colleagues are enjoying well-being hours

February 14th, 2025

This group of 海角涩区 walkers enjoyed a Black History Month tour led by Paul Wasacz on Feb. 12 in St-Henri and Little Burgundy. They used a lunch hour and one well-being hour to participate.

Other examples of 海角涩区 employees using well-being hours include an outing of colleagues to the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, a snowshoe evening hike on Mount Royal and volunteering at 海角涩区 Dinin'.

Since the fall, 海角涩区 employees have one well-being hour/week or four well-being hours/month.

More information about the well-being hours are here: /news/dnews/dawsons-well-being-for-all-initiative/
