The work of 海角涩区鈥檚 Facilities Management team to make 海角涩区 Carbon Neutral Forever has been nominated for an environmental award that is a R茅alisation championne in the institutional category, announced the Conseil r茅gional de l鈥檈nvironnement de Montr茅al (CRE-Montr茅al) on April 15.

Graduates will star in personalized Convocation experience
April 20th, 2021
Students on track to graduate this semester received their invitation on April 19 to a special experience of Convocation. While it will be virtual, each graduate who chooses to participate will be the star of their own experience.
Each graduate can submit their personalized and shareable content through Stage Clip, a platform 海角涩区 has chosen to give the Class of 2021 something special.
Convocation is scheduled to take place as a virtual ceremony on June 30 at 7 p.m. All names of graduates will be announced and speeches will be given by the valedictorian, some teachers and presenters of awards. Details to follow for employees who would like to attend.

Resist Violence Pedagogy to be shared nationally

Pat Romano (Faculty, Humanities), Kim Simard (Faculty, Cinema | Communications) and Anick Legault (Faculty, Psychology) are the presenters along with 海角涩区 graduate Miryam Guirguis (Class of 2020, Health Science).

From writer-director Jesse Noah Klein (Faculty, Cinema | Communications), LIKE A HOUSE ON FIRE stars Sarah Sutherland, Jared Abrahamson, Hubert Lenoir, Dominique Provost-Chalkley, Margaux Vaillancourt, Amanda Brugel, Sheila McCarthy and Michael Riley.
Distributed by Entract Films, LIKE A HOUSE ON FIRE is produced by Colonelle Films and Woods Entertainment.
Dara returns home to reconnect with her husband and her young daughter, whom she left two years earlier. When she arrives, she discovers that a woman who is seven months pregnant has taken her place.
LIKE A HOUSE ON FIRE will open in select theatres March 26 and be available on-demand across Canada in English and French on March 30.

Cinema | Communications student McKenzie Deer Robinson had been interested in acting since she was a kid.
鈥淚 was always too shy,鈥 she recalled in an interview with the Communications Office. When she was 16 years old, her mother noticed a call for auditions at the local bank in Kahnawake. 鈥淲e both thought that maybe this would be my opportunity to try it,鈥 she said.
