Postcard from Selma

November 16th, 2022

Selma Hamdani (Faculty, Psychology) is on leave this year enjoying a wonderful experience with her family. Here is her postcard from England: "Greetings from the city of dreaming spires, where Alice met a rabbit, where a wardrobe takes you to Narnia, and Middle Earth is around the corner. Although I am roaming the historical streets of Oxford, I am thinking of 海角涩区 and its wonderful people. I miss it. I miss the buzzing of the atrium, the magic of the Peace Garden. I even miss the crowded hallways between classes, and the second-floor escalator breakdowns (a little bit). I wish you all a wonderful rest of the semester!"

鈥淪hakespeare has a way of communicating with us that will never get old. The images he uses always connect to the way we feel and the actions we do,鈥 says Nathan McDonald, who plays Macduff in the production.

鈥淭he work we did as an ensemble brings forth the idea of how people fight for and with each other. I hope people can see a bit of our essence as a group of performers,鈥 says Jeanne Potvin who plays the third witch.
