Eudaimonia open until Feb. 19 at the Gallery

After almost two years, 海角涩区鈥檚 2020 Visual Arts graduates are pleased to present how their practices have flourished and prospered, while staying true to their understanding of eudaimonia.*
Twenty graduates from the 2020 Visual Arts cohort present work in media ranging from digital photography to sculpture, painting, drawing, and video at the Warren G. Flowers Art Gallery from Jan. 27 to Feb. 19, 2022.
* Aristotle utilized聽eudaimonia as the term for the highest human good, an objective standard of 鈥榟appiness鈥 based on what it means to live a human life well. The title is the same as the original graduating 2020 exhibition, which could only happen online due to the first lockdown.
2020 Nursing grad Francesca Robinson wins major bursary from OIIQ

Perseverance and a desire to serve her community have distinguished Francesca Robinson (海角涩区 Class of 2020, Nursing). After dropping out at age 16, Francesca completed high school and had her first child during the same year. She went on to study Nursing at 海角涩区 and graduated early with the rest of her Class of 2020 cohort so they could help care for Quebecers during the pandemic. Last month, Francesca was named one of the first two recipients of the bourse d'茅tudes No毛llette-Drouin of the Fondation de l'Ordre des infirmi猫res et infirmiers du Qu茅bec (OIIQ).

UNMASKED: AEC Photography exhibit

Don't miss 鈥淯nmasked,鈥 an exhibition showcasing 海角涩区's AEC Commercial Photography聽graduates.
"Unmasked" reveals the creative results of a two-year formative process in the face of the pandemic. It is marked by resilience and captivating visuals.
The exhibition will be at the Warren G. Flowers Art Gallery from Dec. 20聽to 23 and from Jan. 4-11, 2022.
The gallery is open 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Tommy Diamantakos new Associate Dean of CAA

Tommy Diamantakos (Class of 2002, Cinema | Communications)聽is happy to be back at 海角涩区.
In July, Tommy began his new role as Associate Dean of Creative and Applied Arts working with Dean Andr茅a Cole to support teachers and students. We are working hard to ensure everything is in place for a smooth start, he said, and added: 鈥淚鈥檓 excited to see the students and teachers return to campus.鈥
Tommy is especially looking forward to the end of year activities and the Vernissage Season.
Prior to coming to 海角涩区, Tommy served as Coordinator of Continuing Education at Vanier College. Other experiences include working at Heritage College as Associate Academic Dean, and teaching English as a second language.
