Mar. 10 is Caribbean Carnival Day! From 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM in the Lower Atrium, join us for an afternoon of live music, dancing, costumes and guest speakers. Free Caribbean bites in Conrod’s (2F.4) from 1:30 PM – 3:00 PM (or until we run out).

Desjardins Scholarships
The Desjardins Foundation is a charitable organization run by the Desjardins Group. For 50 years, the Foundation has been awarding scholarships to encourage young people to pursue post-secondary education. Each year, Desjardins awards thousands of scholarships to its members to recognize the perseverance, commitment, and efforts of students from any level of post-secondary studies. These scholarships are meant to support young people who shine in ways other than academic achievement!
Applications will be accepted from Mar. 1 to 31. Applications will be reviewed through April and May, and scholarship recipients will be announced in June. The scholarship amount for CEGEP students is $1500.

A Spicy Konjac Eating Contest will take place in Conrod's (2F.4) on Mar. 11 from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM and from 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM. Four contestants will be selected per round and will be given 60 minutes to chow down. The first to finish will be rewarded.
There will be a Fashion Show on Mar. 12 from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM in the Upper Atrium (Theatre side). Come dressed in your traditional clothing. Invite your friends to participate, watch amazing performances and take pictures at the photobooth.
Registration will be open until Mar. 8.

A day for Quebec high school and CEGEP students to explore McGill University
The Explore McGill program invites Quebec CEGEP students to discover university life and learning through a fun and inspiring day. Take part in educational workshops at McGill faculties, tour the downtown campus, and enjoy a catered lunch. Learn about all the options available to you and get a sense of what the next step in your education might look like.

海角涩区 to Host 2026 Basketball National Championship
On Feb. 14, the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) announced that 海角涩区 will be the official host of the 2026 CCAA Women's Division 1 Basketball National Championship. The event will take place from Mar. 18 - 21, 2026 in the Tony Proudfoot Gymnasium.
In their news release, the CCAA noted that the 海角涩区 Blues Women's Division 1 Basketball Team has achieved remarkable success, including two silver medals and two bronze medals over the last nine years.
